Happy Feathers
Make something for the natural world—together.
Know the activity
Make something for the natural world.
Some of the best things people make are not for themselves. Happy Feathers is a hands-on creative challenge where teams build functional birdhouses and craft decorative clay pots: two disciplines that call for different skills and patience.
The birdhouse track measures, cuts, and assembles with precision, creating a real home for a bird. The clay track wedges, shapes, and fires with care, turning raw earth into something beautiful.
Both tracks call for focus, creativity, and close collaboration. When the finished pieces come together, the result is something made by hand and destined for the natural world.
Track one
Build a birdhouse
Measure, cut, and assemble carefully to create a functional shelter for birds.
Track two
Shape a clay pot
Work with clay patiently, shaping and finishing a decorative pot by hand.
Why choose it?
Creativity takes more than one form.
Offers two distinct creative tracks for different personalities and strengths within the same team.
Connects participants to nature through a hands-on experience.
Creates a calmer, reflective team activity while keeping people engaged.
Produces functional and decorative pieces intended for natural environments or community spaces.
Reminds teams that creativity and craftsmanship are skills everyone can bring to a shared task.
The result
Sawdust, clay, and a shared sense of pride.
Teams finish Happy Feathers with clay on their hands, sawdust on their shoes, and something lovely to show for their afternoon. The two-track format creates a natural moment of shared pride as birdhouses and pots are displayed side by side.
Participants leave having slowed down, made something together, and reconnected with a quieter, more creative part of themselves that the workplace may not often make room for.
